  1. The first question in the application is the type of applicant. In our case, you need to select the “legal representative” item. When you select this category, an additional question will open just below: who are you related to the child. There are four options to choose from:
  • mother;
  • father;
  • guardianship officer;
  • board of trustees.
  1. The second step is to enter your personal data. Here we fill in:
  • FULL NAME;
  • Date of Birth;
  • floor;
  • E-mail address;
  • contact number.
  1. Then enter personal data from the passport:

If the child currently has another registration, then check the “No” box. In this case, automatic deregistration will occur.

Other ways to register a child at the place of residence

Perhaps everyone understands how to register a child through government services. If you carefully read the review, then it is obvious to you that this procedure does not involve any difficulties.

. However, there are situations when, due to certain reasons, this method of registering a child at the place of residence is not suitable. In this case, other options should be considered.

You can register your child in the following ways:

  • Through MFC;
  • Through the Main Department of Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (FMS);
  • Through the regional state portal.

The last option is no different from registration through the public services portal. If you decide to register a newborn through the MFC or FMS, we recommend that you register in advance with the selected structure. Registration in the MFC can be done in several ways

.
You can also register at the passport office through government services. When applying to any of these structures, you must have a passport, birth certificate and a document on the basis of which registration is carried out
.

If a child is registered in a private home, then an additional house register will be required in which the corresponding entry is made.

If you recently became a father and mother, then you know how difficult it is to leave the house with a newborn baby. It’s even more difficult to be with him in stuffy rooms while waiting for your turn. The government service website comes to the aid of young parents in this matter as well.

.
You can start registering your child via the Internet and it is better not to delay this issue, since registration will be needed to obtain a medical insurance policy and to be placed on the waiting list for kindergarten or school (for older children). We would like to immediately remind you that you can register a child at the place of registration of the mother or father
. If they are not even the owners of this apartment, then no consent is required.

Why does a child need a registration?

The birth of a baby is a joyful and exciting moment for the whole family. A burden of troubles and responsibilities falls on the shoulders of young parents. You need to visit the clinic, fill out birth documents, and get in line at the kindergarten. Such worries take a lot of time and effort. You have to spend more than one hour visiting each institution.

However, modern technologies will help young parents solve many issues. The State Portal of Public Services provides a whole range of opportunities.

Every citizen of the country must have a residence permit, this does not depend in any way on his age. If registration is not registered, a number of problems may arise for the child:

  • it is impossible to obtain a compulsory health insurance policy;
  • problems will arise when visiting medical institutions;
  • you won’t be able to get on the waiting list for kindergarten;
  • you will not be able to process cash payments, etc.

Without registration, a number of significant problems will arise. Avoiding them is quite simple - register the child at the place of residence as soon as possible.

You can deal with this issue immediately after receiving the birth certificate. It is best to register before the baby reaches his first month.

How to register a child at the place of registration of the mother or father through State Services?

It is possible to register a child at the place of registration of the father or mother, but there are some legal rules that must be followed. If the baby is registered with the mother, then the permission of the second parent is not needed. The issue of registration in the father’s territory is completely different.

. Here, the mother's consent is mandatory for the presentation of documents.

  • personal information of the registered child;

The final stage

It should be noted that the registration service at the place of residence is provided free of charge. However, if the child is a citizen of another country or has no citizenship at all, you will have to pay a state fee of 350 rubles.

You just need to go to the “My statements” section, where you can see everything for yourself.

List of documents for a newborn

A father or mother can apply for registration of a newborn child. Please note that the form must be filled out by the parent who will come forward for confirmation with original documents at the territorial department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

.
Also, this parent must himself be registered at the address where the child will be registered. For example, if the mother and father are registered at different addresses, the child can be registered at any of them
. But if the registration is issued at the mother’s place of residence, then she must go to the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the documents.

  • The applicant must have with him:
  • Passport;
  • Birth certificate or birth certificate of the newborn;
  • Certificate of registration of the parent.

Important! Only an official guardian can register a child.

Guardians must have documents that confirm the right of guardianship, for example, an adoption certificate. If the father and mother are not married, the father is not the legal guardian of the newborn

.
Therefore, he will need to initially adopt the child, and then register for him at the place of residence
.
In addition, you will need to take with you the mother's consent to register the child at a different address
.
Additional documents may require a marriage certificate or a passport of the second parent. However, to apply to the Ministry of Internal Affairs when filling out an application through the State Services portal, no additional documents are required
. Only those indicated in the application are required.

Documents for registering a newborn at the MFC

If the baby’s parents have different registration addresses, then first they will need to decide with whom the child will be registered. And to carry out the procedure, it will be necessary to prepare a consent from a notary. If parents have a dispute regarding registration, then it will be decided by the court.

If a newborn is registered through the MFC, you will have to prepare documentation that will be handed over to an employee of this institution. In order to find the address of this center and its work schedule, you can visit the official website of the MFC.

You must submit the following documents to the MFC:

  • Child's birth document;
  • Original passports from both parents;
  • Document on registration of marriage between parents;
  • Photocopies of all documentation in good quality;
  • An application in the prescribed form to register the child at the required address.

Instructions on how to register a child through State Services

On the State Services website, after authorization, the parent must sequentially select the following sections:

Next, click on the “Get service” button.

The first paragraph indicates that the application is being submitted for a minor child.

Once the registration type is selected, the user can begin filling out the application.

Personal information is indicated from the parent, that is, this is his passport data. They are pulled from your profile settings, so you don’t need to fill them out yourself.

Next, the system will ask you to provide the child’s details. For minor children only:

  • FULL NAME;
  • Date of Birth.

Next, documents identifying the recipient of the service are filled out. In our case, we select “Birth Certificate”.

The fields with email and mobile phone can be skipped or the applicant’s own information can be provided. In the column about permanent registration, a tick is placed opposite the “No” item in the case of a newborn, and then the registration address is indicated.

Unlike adults, to register a child you will not have to provide documents for the right to reside at the specified address. In the column with the basis of registration, the item “Other” is indicated, and in the comments it is indicated that one of the parents is registered at this address.

After this, all that remains is to indicate whether the child has another citizenship, and in the “Reason for relocation” column, select “Moving to parents.” This is practically the last item to fill out. The rest remain unfilled

. At the end, you must select a department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that is convenient for you to visit, agree to the terms of the portal and click on the “Submit” button and wait for an invitation to an appointment.

Registration through State Services

Depending on who exactly needs registration, there may be certain features.

Adult

Obtaining a residence permit for an adult citizen will not be difficult. In other words, the procedure is standard, as in the situation with minor children.

The applicant will only need to indicate in the application all the necessary information about himself and provide the established package of documents.

Find out what you need to register in the owner's apartment. What list of documents is required for registration of a newborn? See here.

Minor child

Not all parents know how to register minor children, despite the fact that it is simple.

The procedure for registering minor children is not much different from the established rules for a newborn. However, one nuance must be remembered.

If the child is under 14 years old, then the corresponding application must be filled out by the parent with whom they plan to register him.

If the child already has a passport, then, on the basis of Federal Law 5241-1, he has every right to independently choose with whom he will feel comfortable living in the same living space - with his mother or father.

If you are at least 14 years of age, your child must draw up an application on their own and must put their signature on it. At the same time, it will be necessary to draw up a written consent of the second parent, with whom he will not live together.

An exception are mothers who have the official status of singles or widows, but in such a situation it is necessary to provide supporting documentation.

It is important to remember: if a child is 14 years old or older, then his opinion is taken into account even during the process of divorce of his parents, at the time of determining his future place of residence.

Newborn

Newborn children can be registered with their mother or father. To do this, it is enough that one of the parents is the owner of the living space or uses it under a social tenancy agreement. There is no need to obtain permission in such a situation.

The possibility of unhindered registration of newborn children with their parents in 2020 is enshrined in the rights of children established by the legislation of the Russian Federation.

How to register a newborn child through State Services with a grandparent? The algorithm is standard, however, this is only possible if one of the parents is already registered there.

We obtain registration through the MFC

The multifunctional center is suitable for parents who, for certain reasons, cannot use the online application for child registration. This application is drawn up at the MFC, so the parent must come to the appointment with a prepared set of documents.

Please note that at the MFC you must first make an appointment in any available way, since live queues are becoming a thing of the past.

It is recommended to bring the maximum set of documents to the MFC. If, when submitting an application through the portal for registration, you only need to present documents confirming the information specified in the application form, then the MFC may require additional certificates and certificates:

  • Marriage certificate;
  • Notarized approval for the registration of a child with one of the parents. An exception is registration at the mother’s address in the first month of a newborn’s life;
  • Confirmation of the absence of registration at the address of the other parent;
  • Both parental passports.

Sometimes the MFC may even ask you to take the house register if the parents are homeowners. All documents must be brought in originals; they are presented to confirm the data. It is also necessary to make copies of all documents in advance.

.
They will be filed with the application
. The application for registration is drawn up together with MFC employees, who then take copies of the documents and inform you when the registration will be ready.

Terms of receiving the service

The standard registration period is 3 business days. During this time, when submitting an application through the portal, the parent should receive a notification about the need to visit the Ministry of Internal Affairs office with original documents. The parent will receive the registration certificate itself on the same day. If the application is submitted through the multifunctional center, the time frame increases to 8 days, during which a decision will be made and a registration certificate will be issued.

In both cases, the procedure is free. The only exception will be newborn children who do not have Russian citizenship. In this case, in order to pick up a registration certificate you will have to pay a state fee and present a receipt for payment

. A certificate with a registration stamp is handed to the parent who completed the application for registration.
